Trauma Series: Starting the Conversation

Most of our clients walk into our office with a backpack full of both "capital T" and "little T" traumas. They might be ready to jump right in, or they may need a little more time to acclimate to the process. Either way, this training will help your clients feel both comfortable and confident when they're ready. 

What to Expect

Video Tutorials 

60 minutes of video instruction, facilitated by a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with nearly two decades of experience and training in truama-specific work. 

Basic Trauma Response Information

We'll cover everything from the initial "fight, flight, and freeze" response to neuroplasticity. 

Fawns and Fiends

How does exposure to chronic, complex trauma effect the way we interact with the world and people around us? What can we do to address unhelpful coping strategies?

Scripting to Use With Clients

What do bike rides and swimming pools have to do with trauma treatment? Find out with these client-friendly, easy to digest, scripted explanations of how trauma treatment works.

Meet the instructor

Jill Williams, LCSW

Jill Williams, LCSW has nearly 20 years of trauma-informed training and direct practice experience. She has helped raise 80+ foster children; has provided Trauma-Focused CBT to clients as young as 3 years old; works with clients of all ages who have chronic, complex trauma histories; and works with individuals suffering from vicarious trauma due to workplace hazards. When not treating trauma, you'll find Jill diving deep into true crime podcasts and enjoying taco Tuesday on damn near any day.
